Summer Events on the Queen Mary

The Queen Mary (1126 Queens Hwy) is leaning into summer programming, offering a season packed with live entertainment, themed evenings, immersive events, and all-new offerings. From sunset margaritas on the bow to outdoor movie nights under the stars, this summer aboard the Queen Mary promises unforgettable experiences for visitors of all ages.

MARGARITAS ON THE MARY

Start summer weekends the right way with Margaritas on the Mary every Friday from June 6 through August 29, 2025. These events include live music and refreshing margaritas served outdoors on the ship’s bow. For dates and tickets, visit the Queen Mary’s What’s on Deck page. The Queen Mary’s regular weekly events in the Observation Bar will also continue through the summer, including Meet Me at the Mary happy hours on Tuesdays with live music and dance lessons, Karaoke Wednesdays, Jazz & Blues Thursdays, and Friday Night Live. MOVIE NIGHT MARKETS

This summer, enjoy a monthly event at the Queen Mary combining a themed film screening and an open-air night market experience. During Movie Night Markets, you can shop local vendors, explore food trucks, and sip beverages from the beer garden before settling in for a movie screening under the stars. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and your favorite movie snacks, or upgrade with the Ultimate Movie Night Package for $149, which includes a bottle of champagne, snacks, and reserved seating. RETRO DANCING & DINNER THEATER

Escape to a bygone era with a night of vintage swing with Alex Mendham & His Orchestra on the Queen Mary on July 26 and August 30. These retro dance nights feature the music of Jazz’s Golden Age by Bing Crosby, Glenn Miller, and more performed by an eleven-piece big band in the Queen’s Salon. Mystery lovers will thrill to experience the Queen Mary’s 1930s-inspired Murder & Mayhem interactive dinner show available on five select nights June through August. NEW HOURS & TOURS

This summer the Queen Mary will offer extended operating hours from 10 AM to 8 PM daily, starting Sunday, May 25. Visitors can also participate in a limited-time Officer’s Lecture Series at 4 PM every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, featuring captivating maritime stories from the ship's Captain and Officers. Also, be sure to explore the newly curated fine art gallery and display of pieces from the ship’s archives. Finally, during the summer the historic ship is offering a new WW2 Tour that will explore the Queen Mary’s history and impact on WW2.

SPECIAL EVENTS

On June 21 and 22, the Queen Mary will host Insomniac’s Day Trip, an annual house music festival held on the ship’s grounds since 2018. The festival features more than 30 DJs and two stages. Single and two-day passes are available on the Day Trip website. Part of Long Beach’s popular Independence Day festivities, the Queen Mary’s signature All-American 4th of July Celebration features a full day of festivities, themed entertainment, and concluding with the West Coast’s best firework show.
