Long Beach Airport
Smooth travels, from curb to gate.
The Long Beach Airport (LGB) is an award-winning travel hub featuring modern facilities, convenient parking, local restaurants and vendors, and a stylish and historic terminal. Condé Nast Traveler readers ranked LGB one of the top 10 small airports in the United States.
LGB is a smart choice for leisure and business travel, providing commercial service to more than two dozen nonstop destinations, with connections worldwide. While it is the oldest airport in California, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2023, LGB has undergone a major improvement program to expand and modernize its facilities. It’s cool, connected, resort-style travel experience can be found only in Long Beach.
The Long Beach Airport is known for providing a high-quality customer experience, thanks to its convenience and resort-style design. The passenger concourse features an open air garden with a view of the airfield, shopping and dining concessions operated by local Long Beach vendors, device charging stations, and accessible facilities for travelers with service animals or small children.
Long Beach Airport has garnered extensive praise for the careful restoration and preservation of its history, as well as awards for sustainability and modern updates to the design and architecture of its facilities. LGB is in the midst of a $122 million improvement program to make enhancements to the airport. A new Ticketing Lobby and Checked Baggage Inspection System was completed in 2022, and a new consolidated Baggage Claim opened in 2023 to make the travel experience that much smoother from curb to gate.
