St. Patrick's Day Fun in Long Beach

There’s a lot to do in Long Beach on St. Patrick’s Day. Green beer? Sure, but there’s also games, cruises and even green eggs, just to name a few. Check out some of the fun to be had!

2nd & PCH

JOE JOST’S

The iconic tavern, oldest west of the Mississippi, is getting into the spirit–and color–of the day by not only offering its famous pickled egg–usually a delicious shade of yellow–in a festive shade of green. Its beer will also be the color of the Emerald Isle. What’s more, Joe Jost’s (2803 Anaheim St.) famous Special Sandwich, which is usually a split Polish sausage on rye, will become, for one day only, a corned beef sandwich, though not green.

SHANNON’S CORNER

SHANNON’S BAYSHORE

Shannon’s Bayshore (5335 E. Second St.), its Belmont Shore location, will also be offering drink specials, especially a slew of creative cocktails featuring Jameson Irish Whiskey. Like its Downtown Long Beach cousins, Shannon’s Bayshore will be part of the Jameson Party Bus schedule on March 16, what the folks at Shannon’s are referring to as St. Practice Day.

SALTWATER DECK

CITY CRUISES

This sunset cruise will allow you to rock out, boogie down or sip on a cocktail as City Cruise’s St. Patrick Cocktail Cruise gives you a front row seat–and spectacular- view–to all the goings on of Long Beach Harbor. Dance the evening away or enjoy a cocktail as you watch another great Long Beach sunset accompanied by the music spun by great DJs. The cruise, which leaves from Dock 6A of Rainbow Harbor, will board at 6 m. and head out at 6:30p.m.
