Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade & Celebration

Join the Long Beach community in honoring the life, legacy, and values of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Presented by the City of Long Beach and the Office of Sixth District Councilwoman Dr. Suely Saro, the 38th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade and Celebration brings neighbors, families, and visitors together for a day of reflection and family-friendly entertainment.

Event Details

When: The 38th annual MLK Jr Parade and Celebration is on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by the celebration from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: Watch the parade begin at Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and Anaheim Street, then head to Martin Luther King Jr. Park at 1950 Lemon Ave. for the celebration.
