During its 2026 Studio Collaborative Season, the Long Beach Playhouse offers outside, local theatre companies and performing arts organizations the opportunity to produce their own shows in LBP's Studio Theater.

The Humorist Mark Twain offers a mirror to human nature – one that repeats patterns throughout history. Twain’s words, written 140-165 years ago, easily apply to today’s issues of government, racism, religion, and the human condition. In this one-person performance, Haven draws from Mark Twain’s books, journals, lectures, and essays to create sharp social commentary with comedic and critical storytelling. The goal is simple: to promote deep introspection; sometimes with wit and humor, others with pathos and empathy.
