Compound Food Fair

Compound believes that access to food is a right, not a privilege, and our food equity programs center on this belief through education and access.

Compound Food Fairs, made possible through a collaboration with Grow 2Zero and Sowing Seeds of Change, provide a free, healthy cooking demonstration from a local professional chef, currently Union @ Compound’s Eugene Santiago. The demo meal is provided in a *take-home food kit to make the meal in the comfort of your own home. In addition, there will be a children’s art activity for the duration of the Fair.

Families needing support with food will be provided a box of fresh produce and other staples after the cooking demo. To receive a box, support a family or get more information, contact Silissa Uriarte Smith at silissa@compound.org or call 562.534.6050.

This event is open to ALL, so bring your family and friends!
