Kid-Friendly Shows at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center
Your kids will be amazed to see some of their favorite characters live and in-person at the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center this year with stage shows held in the Terrace Theater. Plus, monster trucks will be in the Long Beach Arena for three shows featuring smashing action for the whole family.
PETER AND THE WOLF
RuMBa Foundation Family Concerts at the Long Beach Terrace Theater (300 E Ocean Blvd) are the perfect opportunity to introduce kids to classical music. On June 7, 2026, the Long Beach Symphony will perform Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, a thrilling musical adventure full of playful characters beloved by generations of children. This festival-style event will feature the chance for kids to touch and try musical instruments, participate in arts and crafts, and meet the Long Beach Symphony’s conductor and musicians before the concert. Children ages 17 and younger can attend for free and are encouraged to wear costumes.
HOT WHEELS MONSTER TRUCKS LIVE: GLOW-N-FIRE
Do you have a kid whose mind would be blown to see their favorite Hot Wheels Monster Trucks come to life inside the Long Beach Arena? Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire features the life size versions of favorite Hot Wheels including Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, HW 5-Alarm, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot, and Skelesaurus. Plus, see the all-new truck joining the tour: Rhinomite, the rhino-themed truck charging horn-first into the arena. Showtimes are 11:30 AM and 6:30 PM on Saturday, Oct. 3 and 1:30 PM on Sunday, Oct. 4. You can also add the Pre-Show Party to your ticket for opportunities to get up close to the trucks and meet the drivers.
BE LIKE BLIPPI TOUR
Blippi and Meekah are back at the Long Beach Terrace Theater (300 E Ocean Blvd) on October 24, 2026, for a show featuring fan-favorite songs, like “The Excavator Song,” “Monster Truck,” “Dino Dance,” and “Curious Like Me,” as well as a few fun surprises. Kids will be encouraged to sing and dance along to this interactive stage show and come dressed as your favorite Blippi character. Doors open at 1 PM and the show begins at 2 PM, making it a toddler-friendly afternoon matinee show.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND
International Ballet Stars will present the world premiere of Alice in Wonderland at the Long Beach Terrace Theater (300 E Ocean Blvd) on April 24, 2027. The production was designed by artist Romero Britto, known for his bold, color-saturated style. With a run time of two hours and 15 minutes and 20-minute intermission, this presentation of Lewis Carroll’s classic story with music by Claude Debussy is recommended for children ages 3 and up. Your budding ballet fans will be mesmerized by the stunning costumes and set design and transported to Wonderland along with Alice.
