Acquaprofonda: A Deep-Sea Opera for Families

Long Beach Opera Education presents Acquaprofonda in collaboration with the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Join us for a FREE, family-friendly 30-minute opera adventure about courage, kindness, and protecting our planet. Performances will be held on July 12 and 13, with showtimes at 12 PM and 3 PM each day.

Italian for “deep water,” Acquaprofonda follows Serena, a fearless girl who lives by the sea, as she discovers a mysterious whale sickened by plastic pollution. With the help of a wise sailor, she inspires her father to stand up against the factory harming the ocean — and learns that one small voice can make big waves.

Thirty minute activity sessions will be held before and after each show, with art-making, Q&A, photos and more!
