Vintage Barber Shops in Long Beach

Self care occurs both inside and out, which is why treating yourself to a good day of grooming can help you not only look but feel your best. Long Beach has plenty of places to accomplish both, among them shops/parlors that harken back to an earlier time and attitude. Whether it’s hot towels, straight edge razors or aromatherapy, they combine old with new to create classic looks that will have you feeling a cut above.

The B Room

This “barber salon” looks the part of a vintage shop–barber pole, velvet customer chairs, old timey radios–but The B Room (209 Long Beach Blvd) also aspires to pamper while providing a spa experience for men who might not see themselves going to a spa or being pampered. So, you can get a great haircut but you can also get your beard trimmed or a straight razor facial shave, complete with hot towel. There are massages of all types–deep tissue, hot stone, Swedish, Thai–as well as aromatherapy and foot reflexology.

THE BARBER SHOP

AMERICANO BARBER CO.

From its opening five years ago, Americano Barber Co. (344 E Fourth St) has strived to be a neighborhood shop that does things the old fashioned way with a modern twist. Sitting in their vintage, 1930s era chairs, you can get a classic cut, straight edge shave as well as the latest in contemporary follicle fashion. The environment is friendly and relaxed, made all the more convivial with a complimentary drink (adult or otherwise).

DELUXE PARLOR & SHAVE CLUB
