Contemporary choreographer Alonzo King pairs the language of dance with music by notable composers and musicians, using elements of classical ballet to create innovative and evocative performances. His acclaimed dance company is changing the way we look at ballet by merging Eastern and Western forms with the natural world and human spirit.

WORLD BALLET COMPANY: CINDERELLA

Featuring 40 dancers, over 150 costumes, and handpainted sets, World Ballet Company’s dazzling production of Cinderella is a wonderful way to introduce audiences of all ages to ballet. This two-hour show on stage at the Terrace Theater (300 E Ocean Blvd) in Downtown Long Beach on November 16 immerses viewers into the classic fairy tale story with grand ballroom scenes, romance, mischief, and humor, ending with happily ever after.

LONG BEACH BALLET: THE NUTCRACKER

December 13-21, 2025

Make picture perfect holiday memories with a night at the Long Beach Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker at the Terrace Theater (300 E Ocean Blvd) in Downtown Long Beach in December. Enjoy the festive atmosphere on the Terrace Theater Plaza decorated with thousands of lights and one of the largest holiday trees in Southern California. Then take in one of the nation’s best performances of this classic ballet, now in its 43rd year. The production features a full symphony orchestra, and famously includes a live horse and pyrotechnics. Six performances will be held on December 13-14 and 20-21.
