Soccer’s biggest competition is coming to the U.S. this summer, and throughout Long Beach, local businesses, attractions, and hotels are celebrating. Enjoy special promotions and events in June and July. Plus, Long Beach Transit will be offering a shuttle from Downtown Long Beach directly to the games at Los Angeles (SoFi) Stadium.

LA Galaxy Soccer Celebration

The City of Long Beach is partnering with LA Galaxy and the Downtown Long Beach Alliance to host marquee watch parties for major matches throughout the tournament's group stage, June 11-27. Parts of Pine Avenue, Broadway, and Lincoln Park will be transformed into fan hubs for the following:

June 12, 5 - 8 PM: United States vs. Paraguay
June 18, 5 - 8 PM: Mexico vs. South Korea
June 19, 11 AM - 5 PM: United States vs. Australia, Scotland vs. Morocco
June 20, 9 AM - 3 PM: Netherlands vs. Sweden,Germany vs. Ivory Coast
June 25 3 PM - 9 PM
June 26, 11 AM - 7 PM
June 27, 1 PM - 6:30 PM

The hubs will also offer free youth soccer clinics, music and entertainment, giveaways and special guests, and LA Galaxy player appearances. LONG BEACH TRANSIT SHUTTLE

You won’t find a better deal on transportation to games at Los Angeles (SoFi) Stadium! Skip the parking fees and hassle of driving by riding directly from Downtown Long Beach to Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood for just $1.75. Service runs every 8 to 10 minutes, up to 4 hours before kickoff and 90 minutes after the game for all eight Los Angeles matches from June 12 to July 10. Here’s how to use the Metro World Cup Enhanced Service, provided by Long Beach Transit.

Reserve a parking spot at City Place Lot C (51 E 3rd St) at ridelbt.com/worldcup. Parking reservations are $13.20.
On game day, park your vehicle and walk to the shuttle stop at Long Beach Blvd and 1st St.
Board the shuttle and use a TAP card or credit card to pay the $1.75 shuttle fee.

The Art Theatre (2025 E 4th St) on Retro Row in Long Beach is hosting a soccer themed movie series and watch parties, putting the big match on the big screen. Kicking It: Soccer and the World Cup on Film runs from May 29 to June 4, with screenings of the 2018 documentary Freedom Fields, the 2001 action comedy Shaolin Soccer, She's the Man from 2006, and a double feature of 1972 drama The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick and 1974’s The Traveler.
