Joe's began serving beer and food after prohibition in 1934. Since then we have served more than 14,000,000 frosty schooners of beer, 4,500,000 "Joe's Special Sandwiches" (Polish sausage on rye with Swiss cheese, mustard, and pickle) and 6,000,000 pickled eggs. Since the late 1980's, Joe's has maintained the tradition started in 1907 by the Marmion family of daily roasting only the finest jumbo fancy peanuts. The overhead line drive, antique roaster is original and in daily operation. And while you're here, rack up a game of pool on one of our well maintained, turn-of-the-century Brunswick pool tables, or on our matching full-size snooker table.
