Pedal Through the Past: A Historic Bike Tour of Long Beach
Long Beach Heritage invites you to join us for a breezy ride through history! Starting at 9:00 AM in Downtown Long Beach, we’ll pedal our way through some of the city’s most storied streets and charming neighborhoods — including East Village, Bluff Heights, Bluff Park, Alamitos Beach, Carroll Park, and Willmore City — before finishing before noon at the beautiful Bembridge House.
This easy, 10-mile ride is designed for all skill levels and includes plenty of stops to admire architectural gems and hear fascinating tales of Long Beach’s colorful past from our guide.
Our knowledgeable guide, Long Beach Heritage President, Chris Hogan will share fascinating stories and facts about the buildings and their significance.
When we arrive at the Queen Anne Victorian Bembridge House, we’ll wrap up the morning with a tour of this historic treasure and enjoy some light refreshments.
✅ Most of the route sticks to bike lanes and "sharrow" roads to keep things safe and scenic.
✅ Helmets are required, and we’ll be following all California bicycle safety rules.
✅ Bring your own water bottle and get ready to roll!
If you love cycling, architecture, and uncovering the stories behind Long Beach’s historic districts, this is the perfect summer morning adventure.
Space is limited — don’t miss your chance to pedal through the past!
