Day of the Dead Family Festival
October 27, 11:00am
MOLAA’s annual Day of the Dead Family Festival features merchants, delicious food stations, beer & wine, and sweets for the kids and the kids at heart. Enjoy live performances and tunes spun all day by DJs, plus face-painting. There will be a face-painting station, a children’s sugar skull workshop, printmaking station and a live tattoo artist. Come dressed in all your Day of the Dead regalia and enter to win prizes in our onsite Catrina/Catrine costume contest with live judging at 2PM!
Inspired by the breathtaking return of the Monarch Butterflies to Mexico each year, this year’s theme is Journey of our Ancestors; an homage to the long-held belief by indigenous communities such as the Purépecha, as well as the Mazahua, that the Monarchs represent the returning souls of our ancestors.
