Long Beach Camerata Singers was founded in 1966 by the late Dr. Frank Allen as the Vocal Arts Ensemble. Now in its 53rd season, Camerata Singers is led by Artistic Director Dr. James K. Bass. The 80-voice ensemble includes 16 paid professional singers and is supported by a part-time staff of five. As the Choral Partner for the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra and Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra, Camerata will perform on the bill of both of those ensembles during the 2018-2019 artistic season, as well as presenting 4 self-produced concerts.
