Founded in downtown Long Beach in 1974, Super Mex restaurant prides itself on traditional homemade tastes where everyone is welcome. The #7 is my personal recommendation; two tacos (chicken or beef), rice and beans, but if you are feeling more adventurous, their Carne Asada plate #32, is incredibly rich in flavor. Their entire menu is chock full of comfort food favorites and no matter what you order, every dish is delicious. Don’t forget to pair your delicious food with some house favorites; a house blended Margarita or a Modelo with a lime!
Lola's Mexican Cuisine
Complete with a Dia De Los Muertos sugar skull as their logo, Lola's is an authentic Mexican restaurant is serving classic dishes with a twist. Their slogan, “Only the freshest,” ensures that dishes like Elote, Sopes, and a Bloody Mary Seafood Cocktail, are all made with locally sourced ingredients. As a lover of all things Bloody Mary, making it into a seafood cocktail is new, innovative, and totally up my alley. Some of the menu options even change with the seasons! From the ceviche to the street tacos, Lola’s is creating an ever-changing and unique experience all while incorporating Abuela’s touch.
Padre Long Beach
Padre is where Latin cuisine meets a gastropub! Whether your party is joining for happy hour, or going in to experience the fusion, be sure to try the beer battered avocados! When you are done with the savory, don’t forget to look at the desserts. Churro bites are among the list of sweets, and they are difficult to pass up.They are known for many delicious hand-crafted drinks. So those 21 and up, make sure to try a Chaca Chaca full of fun fruity flavors!
