Celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Long Beach at the 12th annual Christmas Tree Lighting!
Downtown Long Beach is ready to sparkle as the 12th annual Visit Long Beach Christmas Tree Lighting returns Dec. 7, 2026, with a towering tree, more than half a million lights, falling snow and a fireworks finale.
**Admission to the Visit Long Beach Christmas Tree Lighting is free, but tickets are required for entry.**
When: December 7, 2026, from 5–8 PM
Where: Terrace Theater Plaza, 300 E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90802
Make your holiday outing a little more meaningful by supporting the Long Beach Fire Department’s annual Spark of Love Toy Drive. This nearly 70-year tradition invites attendees to bring new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children and families in need. Bring a toy, share some kindness and help brighten the holidays for local families.
The holiday magic continues long after the tree lighting. Terrace Theater Plaza will remain decked out through New Year’s, with more than 500,000 lights and larger-than-life decorations creating a festive backdrop for photos and holiday meetups.
Admission to the Visit Long Beach Christmas Tree Lighting is free, but tickets are required for entry. Tickets will be released in weekly batches beginning Nov. 9 at VisitLongBeach.com, with a limit of four tickets per person. Follow @VisitLB on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube and LinkedIn for ticket-release announcements, or sign up for Visit Long Beach emails to stay informed.
