Celebrate Juneteenth at the World Famous Block Party : Celebrating Freedom Through Music, Culture & Community

The World Famous Block Party is a free, community-centered celebration rooted in Black music, culture, and the spirit of Long Beach. The Juneteenth Edition is one part of a greater series of block parties coming throughout the year, each one built around a moment worth gathering for. Bringing together artists, families, and local creatives, the event creates space for connection across generations through music, food, art, and shared experience. Grounded in the legacy of VIP Records and the cultural influence of Black music, the Block Party celebrates the voices and energy that shape Long Beach today. This is more than a one-day event. It's the foundation for a lasting, annual tradition in the city.

Vendors: Marathon Burger, Cultured Soul, Glizzy Street, Wangs n Thangs, Love Peace & Spades, local food trucks + more to be announced.

Commemorate Juneteenth at Aquarium of the Pacific (100 Aquarium Way) on June 19, from 1 PM to 2 PM, with a thoughtful and engaging educational program. This special event–included with your admission ticket–features storytelling, cultural presentations, and reflections on the history and significance of emancipation in the United States. Set within one of Long Beach’s most iconic venues, the program offers visitors a meaningful way to learn, reflect, and honor Black history.
