The Queen Mary is decking its halls, and decks, with all manner of twinkling lights, decorated trees and gingerbread houses, during a month of festive programming that stretches all the way to Christmas Eve. From Santa at Sunday Brunch and a brand new, can’t-miss Christmas lounge, to live entertainment and lots of family-friendly fun, the Long Beach icon is offering holiday cheer for all ages all season long.
PEPPERMINT LOUNGE
From December 4 to 24, the all-new Peppermint Lounge transforms the Embarkation Room into a holiday haven for grown-ups. The Christmas-themed bar serves up seasonal cocktails that taste just like the holidays, paired with live music on select nights. Whether you’re toasting to the season or simply soaking in the ship’s Art Deco glamour, the Peppermint Lounge is the perfect spot to be merry and bright.
SANTA SUNDAYS
Every Sunday in December (Dec. 6, 13, 20, 27), the Queen Mary’s (1126 Queens Hwy) famous Royal Sunday Brunch gets a merry makeover. Guests can feast on a lavish holiday buffet featuring seasonal delights while enjoying special visits from Santa himself. It’s a picture-perfect way to kick off the holiday season, complete with ocean views, holiday music, and plenty of cheer for the whole family.
SILENT DISCO: CHRISTMAS SONGS EDITION
One of the highlights of the season figures to be the Silent Disco: Christmas Songs Edition on December 5. Grab your dancing shoes and head to the bow of the Queen Mary for a night filled with panoramic harbor views and a soundtrack full of holiday hits that guests can dance to in a festive, open-air setting, while sporting wireless headphones. Simply choose your channel–Pop, EDM or classical hits–and set your vibe and let the Christmas spirit move and groove you.
SANTA’S SHIP STOP
From December 19 to 21, the Queen’s Salon transforms into Santa’s Ship Stop, a hands-on holiday adventure for kids and families. Build gingerbread houses with Santa’s elves, sip Cocoa with Claus, send Letters to Santa (replies from the North Pole are guaranteed!), and even share Cookies with the Captain! It’s a magical experience at the Queen Mary that blends sweet creativity and creative sweetness for all ages.
FESTIVE EVENTS
The fun continues for days and days, with all manner of events and holiday happenings. On December 16 and 17, you can cozy up for Movies on the Mary: Christmas Edition, featuring A Christmas Story (Dec. 16) and How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Dec. 17). On December 18, you get creative with Brushes & Bubbly: Winter Wonderland and sip your favorite beverage while you paint. On December 19-20 the Holiday Follies will feature tap dancing Toy Soldiers, singing, dazzling costumes and holiday hijinks.
