FIVE PROFESSIONAL PERFORMING ARTS COMPANIES TO CALL BEVERLY O’NEILL THEATER HOME

Charlie Beirne, General Manager of the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, told the audience of more than 80 that for the first time in the theater’s history, five professional Long Beach arts groups are lined up to perform in the venue for their 2016/2017 seasons.

International City Theater (ICT) has been the principal company using the theater for their performance seasons for the past two decades. In 2015 Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra moved its headquarters to Long Beach and began staging concerts in the theater. Three additional Long Beach performing companies will begin using the venue for their 2016/2017 season: Long Beach Opera, Camerata Singers and Musical Theatre West.

As part of the official announcement, there were musical performances by Long Beach Opera, Musical Theatre West, Long Beach Camerata Singers and the Musical Angelica Baroque Orchestra.
