Tea with Shakespeare: The Merchant of Venice
Step inside the historic Bembridge House for a one-of-a-kind afternoon of tea and theatre. Come journey with the Merchant, Antonio and his friend Bassanio as they navigate the seas of Love, Money and Justice!
Director and actor Michael Taber brings Shakespeare to life with an abridged three-act performance of The Merchant of Venice staged throughout the historic home.
The experience begins in the front garden, where the first act unfolds beneath the trees. Guests will then move through the house as the story continues — each act performed in a new space of the Bembridge House with brief intermissions between scenes.
Along the way, guests will enjoy tea service and light refreshments, making this an intimate and engaging way to experience Shakespeare.
