The City is hosting a series of local soccer activations and match viewings at various parks throughout Long Beach, offering residents across the city chances to gather, connect and celebrate soccer in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
Each activation will feature a community watch party with a live big-screen match viewing, as well as group activities for youth hosted by the City’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite soccer team’s attire and bring blankets, chairs and picnic meals. Schedule below:
- July 6: Round of 16 | El Dorado Park West (2800 N. Studebaker Rd.) - Kickoff 5 p.m.
- July 9: Quarter-finals | Martin Luther King Jr. Park (1950 Lemon Ave.) - Kickoff 1 p.m.
- July 10: Quarter-finals | Admiral Kidd Park (2125 Santa Fe Ave.) - Kickoff Noon
- July 11: Quarter-finals | Heartwell Park (5801 Parkcrest St.) - Kickoff 6 p.m.
- July 14: Semi-finals | Recreation Park (4900 E. 7th St.) - Kickoff Noon
- July 15: Semi-finals | Scherer Park (4600 Long Beach Blvd.) - Kickoff Noon
- July 18: Third Place Playoff | Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.) - Kickoff 2 p.m.
On July 19, Long Beach will host an open streets celebration of the final during its Beach Streets Kickin' It event.
