Make Music Day Long Beach

Come celebrate International Make Music Day in Long Beach! The Shell at Rec Park is one of the many venues around Long Beach where you can see live music on June 21.

Make Music Long Beach, part of the international Fête de la Musicque, is a global celebration of music held annually on June 21. Launched in France in 1982, this unique experience has grown to include more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries.

Completely free and open to all, Make Music Day invites musicians of all ages, skill levels, and genres to share their art. It brings joy, inspires creativity, and transforms communities through the power of music.

During the daylong event, the city comes alive with music. Performances take place on city sidewalks, parks, patios, and even back porches. Participate as a performer, host, or volunteer.
