Jazz on the Bay
Jazz on the Bay is a free summer concert series held directly on the sand along Alamitos Bay at 66th Place on the Peninsula. Every summer, residents and visitors enjoy internationally recognized jazz artists in an intimate waterfront setting unlike anywhere else in Southern California.
The event is produced by Dave Ross, Peninsula resident and founder of The Jazz Salon, whose passion for preserving and presenting world-class jazz has enriched the Long Beach community for years. Through his dedication, Jazz on the Bay has welcomed an impressive roster of internationally acclaimed musicians, including Grammy winners, Grammy nominees, jazz legends, and rising stars.
The 2026 summer schedule includes:
* June 20 – Kenny Washington
* July 18 – Grammy-winning vocalist Karrin Allyson
* August 22 – Madonna’s longtime vocalist Niki Haris
* September 12 – Miles Davis 100th Birthday Tribute featuring acclaimed New York trumpeter Terell Stafford
It’s a uniquely Long Beach experience. Guests enjoy world-class music with their feet in the sand, surrounded by sailboats, sunsets, and the relaxed coastal atmosphere that defines our city.
