Forest Bathing at the Japanese Garden
Enjoy the Japanese practice of forest bathing at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden on the campus of Cal State Long Beach. This class, led by a certified Forest Therapy Guide, offers a guided sensory experience.
Inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku, forest bathing means taking in nature through our senses. These slow and mindful walks offer an immersive sensory experience to explore our unique relationship with the earth. Join us to deepen your connection with yourself and the natural world. Forest bathing aims to reduce stress, improve well-being, and foster a reciprocal relationship with the more-than-human-world.
We end our time together sharing tea and snacks.
