Driving Miss Daisy
International City Theatre presents Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry. ICT will host a post-show talkback with the cast on October 31. This Pulitzer Prize Winning play is directed at ICT by Luke Yankee.
Explores the unlikely friendship between a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow of 72 and her African American chauffeur in the Deep South just prior to the start of the civil rights movement. Unimpressed by his employer’s patronizing tone and what he believes is her latent prejudice, the two, nonetheless, slowly start to learn each other’s truths and build a relationship lasting 25 years.
