Day of the Dead Family Festival

Save the date for the Museum of Latin American Art's annual Day of the Dead free family festival set for Sunday, October 26! This event is free, and reservations are required.
Through this year's theme, RESILIENCE, we celebrate our community and our capacity to endure and overcome hardship and difficulties. In doing so, we recognize and honor the endurance and legacy of our ancestors.

DJ Caveman will have you dancing to Oldies, Funk, Old school, Freestyle, New Wave/Post Punk, House, Hip Hop 90’s, 2000’s and Up, R&B, Rock en español, Cumbias, Merengue, and more! You can find him on Facebook and Instagram as @DJCavemanLA.
The festival will include art workshops including opportunities to build your own paper lowrider with artist Jacqueline Valenzuela, traditional face painting with Calaveras Zapotecas Group, making sugar skulls with Kalaveritas y Mas.
Food and beverage vendors include Trademark Brewing, Mama's Tamales & Pupusas, Confianza Coffee, Gourmet Churros, Acai Zooks Kitchen, and The Quesadilla Calling. There will also be an artisan vendor market of jewelry, crafts, artwork, books, and more.
