With over $27 million in assets, the Long Beach Community Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity dedicated to initiating positive change in Long Beach. It is a tax-exempt charitable organization comprised of charitable giving funds established by individuals, organizations and businesses and managed as an endowed $2 billion pool of assets. As a “donor-driven” organization that assists donors in achieving their philanthropic and financial goals, individuals and organizations use this self-sustaining vehicle to support their favorite causes. Earnings on these assets are distributed in the form of grants to nonprofits in the local community.
