Ring in the New Year in Long Beach
It's time to celebrate the New Year! Long Beach offers lots of options for New Year's Eve and Day celebrations – from boats to bars, lighthouses to steakhouses – where you can bid a fond farewell to 2022 and a fine “Let’s Do This!” to 2023, all while watching not one but TWO fireworks displays in Rainbow Harbor at 9 p.m. and midnight. Aquarium of the Pacific New Year’s Eve Night Dive
A special New Year’s Eve Night Dive at the Aquarium of the Pacific (100 Aquarium Way) will feature bands, DJs spinning in the galleries while you party with friends, family and fish! Cafe Sevilla
They’ll start early at Cafe Sevilla where they offer a delicious NYE brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., including Spanish Eggs Benedict and Torrijas Spanish Style French Toast alongside bottomless Mimosas. Sevilla's NYE dinner is a festive, three-course Prix Fixe menu, with reservations being accepted from 5 to 7:45 p.m. A dazzling flamenco dinner show will take place at 6:30 p.m., and live Latin music will be provided by Michael Battista from 8 to 11 p.m. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling (562) 495-1111 or by clicking here.
Fuego at Hotel Maya
This party package includes a delicious, four-course dinner with complimentary champagne all evening. There will be dancing, party favors and a unique view of the fireworks shot over the nearby Queen Mary as you look back at the Long Beach skyline. Harbor Cruise New Year’s Fireworks Cruise
Harbor Cruise’s 21-and-over event aboard the luxury yacht, Sir Winston, has an open bar, appetizers, two live DJs on two dance floors as well as perhaps the best view of the New Year’s fireworks display. Michael’s on Naples
One of the most honored, and beloved restaurants in the city, Michael’s On Naples (5620 E. Second St.) is offering a five-course Prix-Fixe dinner complete with champagne toast. Parkers’ Lighthouse
Celebrate the start of a new year on the Parkers' Lighthouse (435 Shoreline Village Dr.) waterfront patio with a spectacular view of New Year’s fireworks accompanied by drinks and a delicious, three-course, Pre-Fixe style menu. Queensview Steakhouse
From its perch overlooking Rainbow Harbor, Queensview Steakhouse has one of the best, most spectacular views of New Year’s fireworks. The restaurant will feature a four-course Pre-Fixe style menu and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The Ryan Rost Trio will be playing jazz favorites from 8 p.m. to midnight. Shannon’s Corner NYE Celebration
One of the more unique New Year’s Eve celebrations, start with dinner at The Carvery (201 Pine Ave.) and its special holiday menu. For reservations call (562) 317-5237 or check here. You can also purchase an all-access wristband to several other Shannon properties that will be hosting their own celebrations. At The Top (105 W. Broadway) nightclub will host a NYE party including music and bottle service. Secret Island Tiki Restaurant and Bar (209 Pine Ave.) will offer fun Tiki cocktails and live music. Shenanigan’s Irish Pub & Grill
Located in Shoreline Village, Shenanigan's (423 Shoreline Dr.) will offer its full menu and bar to celebrate the coming of 2023. Situated on the harbor, it will have great views of the fireworks shows at 9 pm and midnight. Live music will be provided from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. by Dick The Citizen.
Shoreline Village
This free event happens all over the popular shopping and dining district. There will be DJs and live bands as well as hula hoop dancers. There will be a free photo booth as well as one of the best views of not one but two fireworks shows, at 9 p.m. and midnight. This free Shoreline Village (401-435 Shoreline Dr.) event is great for the whole family–there will be a Kids’ New Year’s Eve countdown at the Nautilus Shell at 9 p.m.
The Breakfast Bar
If you’re looking to continue the celebration–or perhaps refresh and recalibrate after it–one of Long Beach’s best and most popular breakfast spots will be open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on New Year’s Day. The Breakfast Bar (70 Atlantic Ave./3404 E. Fourth St.) will not only be serving from its nationally recognized menu but also its Cappuccino bar and collection of great craft cocktails.
