Oktoberfest in Long Beach
Oktoberfest is bringing plenty of Bavarian spirit to Long Beach, with local restaurants, breweries and bars raising steins as they serve up German beer, seasonal food and festive fun. From traditional biergartens and live music to bar crawls–even a tropical tiki twist–there are plenty of ways to enjoy this great German tradition. Prost!
STEELCRAFT LONG BEACH

Oktoberfest is taking over SteelCraft Long Beach (3768 Long Beach Blvd), Sept. 25–27, for three days of beer, German-inspired cuisine, live music, and plenty of fun. The weekend kicks off Friday (6-10 PM) with polka music, face painting, and an opening-night celebration.
Saturday (2:30-10 PM) brings the biggest party, with a DJ, pop-up shops, wiener dog races, stein-holding contests, and live polka from Hammerstein. Sunday (1-5 PM) keeps things rolling with music from West Coast Prost, food, beer, and face painting. Limited-edition steins will be available throughout the celebration.
LONG BEACH OKTOBERFEST BAR CRAWL

Altar Society Brewing and Coffee Co. (230 Pine Ave.) kicks off Long Beach’s Oktoberfest Bar Crawl Sept. 26, 4-10 PM, giving revelers a chance to explore Downtown Long Beach while sampling German-inspired specials along the way. The self-guided crawl begins at Altar Society, with a wristband providing entry to participating venues and access to various food and drink deals. It’s an easy way to turn Oktoberfest into a Downtown bar-hopping adventure.
PORT CITY TAVERN

Port City Tavern (4306 E Anaheim St) goes big for Oktoberfest on Sept. 26, 3-10 PM, with an all-ages fundraiser benefiting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. This fourth annual event features a full biergarten, stein-hoisting contests, live bands, games, prizes, and family-friendly activities.
Guests can also take part in free head-shavings to show support for kids with cancer, or use head shaving as a fundraising tool. It’s Oktoberfest with a distinctly Long Beach twist: festive, fun, community-minded, and built around raising a stein for the worthiest of causes.
LONG BEACH BEER LAB WRIGLEY

Where: 518 W Willow St
Long Beach Beer Lab (518 W Willow St) celebrates nine years of experimental brewing with Tikitoberfest, a free, all-ages mashup of tropical tiki vibes and Bavarian tradition. On Oct. 11, 1-5 PM, you can expect steins and paper umbrellas, bratwurst and tropical drinks, plus plenty of beer flowing at the brewery’s backlot bash. Festivities include dog races and stein-holding contests, adding some friendly competition to the celebration. Come for the beer, stay for the aloha-meets-Oktoberfest atmosphere.
RASSELBOCK KITCHEN & BEER GARDEN
When: September 19-October 31, 2026
Where: 4020 Atlantic Ave
Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden (4020 Atlantic Ave) is practically built for Oktoberfest, and its annual celebration has become a Bixby Knolls tradition. The German restaurant and beer garden kicks things off with a ceremonial keg tapping on September 19 at 3 PM, followed by live music, food and drink specials, stein-holding contests, and plenty of lederhosen and dirndls. The beer list also includes German favorites such as Paulaner Oktoberfest and Weltenburger Märzen, served by the pint, stein, or boot.
