Downtown Long Beach Gyms & Fitness Centers

Whether you’re visiting Long Beach for business or pleasure, you don’t have to drop your workout routine. With several gyms within walking distance of the downtown core–many offering complimentary day passes or free trials–it’s easy to access a gym near your hotel or the convention center for a convenient fitness break.

Located at The Pike Outlets, Gold’s Gym (75 Aquarium Way) is open 5AM to 10PM on weekdays and 7AM to 4PM on Saturdays and Sundays and offers group exercise and personal training sessions. If you left your workout clothes or accessories at home, you can pick up replacements in the Pro Shop. After using the cardio equipment, resistance machines, free weights, or pushing a sled across the lanes in the turf area, finish your visit with a relaxing visit to the sauna/steam room.

F45 Training (270 W 3rd St) offers group workouts that go through a circuit of functional exercises lasting 45 minutes. When you arrive, the coach will demonstrate each exercise in the circuit, then you can use the group’s energy to power through the workout. Classes start as early as 5:30AM and as late as 6:30PM on weekdays, with morning classes available on weekends. Check the website for the schedule and choose from a cardio, resistance, hybrid, or recovery focused class.

At The Camp Transformation Center (245 The Promenade N. Ste 100), the walls are decorated with motivational mottos and artwork representing Long Beach to get you energized. The Camp hosts group training classes starting at 5AM to 7PM Monday through Thursday, 5AM to 9AM on Fridays, and 7AM to 9AM on Saturdays. Classes use free weights, machines, and floor exercises in intervals, and participants are encouraged to complete the circuit at their own pace.
