Compound is a creative hub where art, wellness, and community meet. We offer contemporary art exhibitions and immersive experiences, classes and workshops in wellness and the healing arts, music and live performances, as well as events held in partnership with local community organizations. Comprised of a 13,000 square foot converted warehouse, Compound's sprawling complex includes a Gallery and Project Space featuring commissioned works and experimental projects, and The Lab, a space dedicated to artistic experimentation and interfacing directly with the public. Compound is dedicated to supporting artists in realizing innovative ideas according to their vision and is invested in creating intimate encounters between new art and new audiences. Located in the heart of the Zaferia district of Long Beach, CA, Compound also features a courtyard sculpture garden, retail gift shop, bar, and restaurant dedicated to showcasing local chefs. Compound's mission is to promote connection, belonging, curiosity, and growth.
