Perfect for date nights, family time or just hanging out with friends – these movie nights are held at Alfredo’s Beach Club every weekend and are free to attend! Movies include newer releases and loved favorites like Coco, Aquaman and the Little Mermaid.
No trip to Long Beach is complete without getting a taste of the city’s bustling culinary scene! This summer, DTLB’s favorite restaurants are coming together in one place to offer patrons sample-sized portions of some of their most loved dishes. Downtown Long Beach is a foodie hot spot this summer with this ongoing event, taking place Aug 28-29. Some of the restaurants include Beachwood BBQ, Parker’s Lighthouse, Pie Bar and so many more!
Every summer, the walls of Long Beach are transformed into a street-art paradise in an internationally recognized, week-long, city-wide event called POW! WOW! Taking place this year in Long Beach from July 21-28, POW! WOW! brings the work of famous muralists from all over the world together in a colorful revitalization of the city’s urban landscapes. Visitors can enjoy seeing the artists at work during the week-long event, or enjoy taking fun and captivating photos with the murals all summer long. (Tip: check out our Instagram Guide to POW! Long Beach’s Belmont Shore, or “The Shore” as it’s known by locals, is home to dozens of local and family owned restaurants that feature cuisines from all over the world. The best way to get a taste of them is by taking a stroll through 2nd street, savoring popular dishes from around the globe and listening to talented local musicians as you taste your way through the area with your family, friends and pups (you can even get treats for your dogs at Sweet Jill’s)! This year, this popular event takes place on Wednesday, July 17 to Thursday, July 18, and Wednesday, August 21 to Thursday, August 22.
There’s nothing like outdoor music on a summer day, and this summer in Long Beach, visitors can join the community for Long Beach’s annual Summer Concert Series! Every weekend throughout the summer, visitors can enjoy a free outdoor summer concert from bands that perform jazz, blues, and more!
