Due to the impacts of COVID-19, some events may be canceled or postponed. Please check with event organizers for most updated information. Take a look at some spooky events from Halloween's past:

It definitely snuck up on us, but our costumes are ready and we are set for some spooky festivities. However, if you’re anything like us, you probably haven’t planned your Halloween outings yet. Well, to make it easy, we've gathered a list of some Halloween and Dia de los Muertos happenings in Long Beach for you! Have a fun & safe holiday! 

Queen Mary

1. Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary (Canceled)

For a real thrill, explore the mazes and attractions at Dark Harbor on their closing weekend. Costumes are allowed (no masks).

2. Halloween Family Night at the Aquarium (Canceled)

Dress up in your coolest costume and trick or treat through our exhibits with your family and friends. Our upcoming Halloween Family Night will offer a unique opportunity to explore the Aquarium, make a craft, learn at our activity stations, investigate touch pool animals, and venture into our famous Biofact Boneyard.

3. Scarium of the Pacific

October 24-25: Discover the creatures lurking in the depths at the Aquarium of the Pacific’s twentieth annual Scarium of the Pacific—a spooktacular, educational Halloween event for the whole family. Enjoy special Halloween programs, including the annual children’s costume contest, creepy coloring contest, magic shows, underwater pumpkin carving, spooky storytelling, and kooky crafts, and meet eerie animals in the Great Hall.

5. Shoreline Village Zombie Walk (Canceled)

Calling all rotting, brain-eating, flesh-dripping folks in varying states of decay! Join Shoreline Village for celebration of all things Undead, including live music, vendors, outdoor movies and of course, a ghoulish walk/shuffle down Rainbow Harbor – FREE, courtesy of your hosts at Shoreline Village and participating sponsors!

Historical Society Of Long Beach Cemetery Tour

6. Historical Cemetery Tour 

Since 1995, the Historical Society of Long Beach has conducted an annual living history tour at the city’s two oldest cemeteries. Located on Willow Street between Orange and California avenues, the Long Beach Municipal Cemetery and adjacent Sunnyside Cemetery are “home” to more than 20,000 past residents of the area.

The tour features graveside performances by actors who relate the life and demise of the person[s] lying at rest. The tour is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. There is nothing scary about the vignettes or the location.

The Pike Outlets Fall Fest

7. Fall Fest at the Pike Outlets

Enjoy FREE trick or treating around The Pike Outlets’ stores, face painting, and magic shows! Purchase a Halloween craft for $2.00 and all proceeds will be donated to Long Beach Blast, to help improve academic and personal success for at-risk youth.

8. Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade

It's almost time for the 19th Annual Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade at Marina Vista Park. There is a vendor and pet adoption fair from 12:30-4:30 p.m., but the highlight of the day is the 500+ costumed dogs as they parade a few blocks in front of a few thousand gawkers and a panel of judges. The winner will get dog food for a year. $10/advance for each dog who enters the parade. There is no charge for humans to walk in the parade (with or without costumes and with or without pets), and it's free to spectate. Front-row chairs can be rented on-site.

Michael's on Naples is partnering with Veuve Clicquot for a sparkling spooky Yelloween bash on the rooftop.

Belmont Shore Trick Or Treat

10. Trick or Treat on 2nd Street

October 31: Calling all superheros, princesses, & little monsters alike..It is time to celebrate this Halloween Night! Bring a bag for your candy and your very best attire, Walk around 2nd street until your little one tires. From 4pm-6pm in a place you call home, The Shore will surely be The place to roam.

Hotel Maya Dia De Los Muertos

11. Dia de los Muertos Celebration at Hotel Maya

The celebration may be for the dead, but the party will definitely be live as Hotel Maya celebrates “Dia de Los Muertos” in Fuego. Fuego will mark one of the most important Mexican holidays as death is celebrated and the departed honored. A special artistic and beautiful alter will be set up in Fuego and Hotel Maya guests and employees are encouraged to bring artifacts to remember passed loved ones. The “Dia de Los Muertos” party will feature a variety of drink and food specials and live Latin music and DJ throughout the evening.

12. Halloween Costume Party at Tantalum

Join Tantalum on Halloween for a costume contest, dry ice cocktail specials and a live band!

Aquairum Night Dive Band

13. Dia de los Muertos Night Dive at the Aquarium (Canceled)

November 1: Night Dive is an adults-only event with local bands rockin’ out right next to the fish, DJs spinning in the Aquarium’s galleries, inspiring works of art, cocktails and drinks, and tasty bites from food trucks. Turn up and take it all in! The November 1st Night Dive is Día de los Muertos themed!

Molaa Dia De Los Muertos Family Festival

14. Dia de los Muertos Family Festival at MOLAA

November 3: Explore Día de los Muertos, a vibrant celebration of life and loved ones at MOLAA's annual family festival! Learn more about this cultural tradition through art workshops, live performances, gallery tours and an interactive community altar, face painting, food and unique artisan vendors. Día de los Muertos attire strongly encouraged - come dressed as a calavera!

Shoreline Village Day Of The Dead Music Festival

15. Shoreline Village Dia de los Muertos Music Festival

Come  to Shoreline Village and celebrate the Dia de los Muertos with a FREE Day of the Dead themed music festival.  There will be 9 local bands performing, awesome themed art vendors, and a self service photo booth. Day of the Dead costumes are encouraged!
