When General Phineas Banning charged me to preserve his legacy, neither of us realized how little the task would require. The General's accomplishments live on even today, and have entered the annals of history. But, due perhaps to my steady diet of carefully cured beef jerky, I have outlived my dear friend by more than a century. Consequently, I alone can bear witness to events which transpired those many years ago, and can offer insights which mere history cannot.I have shared his adventures. And I have been entrusted by the General himself to invite you to visit his beautiful residence.
