Overview
Celebrating over 45 years of easy-to-ride service, Long Beach Transit has earned an excellent reputation for a reliable on-time record, passenger safety, cleanliness of the bus fleet, and welcoming nature of the bus operators. Since Long Beach Transit’s formation in 1963, we have grown to serve three times the number of customers and haven’t missed a single day of service. That’s over 16,000 days without missing a beat!

With a cost-saving $1.25 fare each way, no stress from searching for parking, and the ability to easily plan trips, Long Beach residents and visitors have direct access to a wealth of community attractions. All of Long Beach Transit’s Passport buses in the downtown area are free to ride, with service running as late as 1 a.m., making it easy to travel around downtown’s many attractions.

For directions on how to use Long Beach Transit’s economical and easy to use transit services, call your Long Beach Transit trip planner at (562) 591-2301, Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM, and Saturdays between 8 AM and 3 PM.
