World Wood Day

World Wood Day (WWD) is a cultural event celebrated annually on March 21st to highlight wood as an eco-friendly and renewable biomaterial and to raise awareness on the key role wood plays in a sustainable world

The theme for 2017 is "Roots". Firstly hosted on the American continent, the 5th annual WWD will include a wide variety of activities, ranging from a symposium, woodcraft activities, design and architecture programs, folk art workshops, children's events, musical festival to a tree planting.

This 6- day grand event will give you the opportunity to meet diverse forms and styles of woodworks from different parts of the world, starting from scratch and filled with creativity and enthusiasm. What’s more, you can come to enjoy the spectacular musical performances, to learn wood through hands on workshops and gain insights into the importance of wood and cultural diversity.
