Long Beach Dia De Los Muertos Celebration

Date: Saturday, November 4 2017

Grammy Award-winning group La Santa Cecilia will headline this year’s Dia De Los Muertos Celebration in downtown Long Beach.  La Santa Cecilia will be joined by KCRW’s DJ Raul Campos and KM at the Nov. 4 party.

Opus Technique is helping to organize the evening. It will close Pine Avenue between Fourth and Sixth streets, with four designated areas. There’s the main stage, a Kids and Family Fun Zone sponsored by AARP, the Food Fiesta area and a Vender Village.

Starting at 5 p.m., there will be cultural performances including folklorico and Aztec dancers, mariachi groups and more leading to the main concert at 8 p.m. The festival ends at 11 p.m.

All of the entertainment is free, and downtown parking structures offer two hours of free parking. There also will be Dia De Los Muertos altars created by artists and community groups.
