Overview
Hotel Maya is the first distinctive full-service, luxury Long Beach boutique resort hotel, located on the scenic downtown waterfront. With a multi-million dollar renovation completed in July 2009, Hotel Maya offers four-star hotel service and amenities, with striking ocean and skyline views of downtown Long Beach and the Historic Queen Mary. Hotel Maya’s lush, tropical grounds and luxurious Latin American influenced amenities enhance Long Beach’s spectacular waterfront with additional meeting spaces, refurnished guestrooms, and an authentic Latin American restaurant and lounge.
Inspired by Mayan architecture, Hotel Maya features 195 guest rooms which boast both waterfront and garden views that include private balconies or patios. Standard in-room amenities include plush bedding, Lather bath products, coffee makers, 37-inch flat screen HDTVs, AM/FM CD clock stereo with MP3/iPod adapter, as well as complimentary Wi Fi. With 20,000 square feet of available meeting and event space, Hotel Maya is one of Southern California’s premier sites for groups of any size, from five to 500. The property’s 15 indoor-outdoor event spaces include five exceptional meeting rooms and an executive boardroom—three of which have waterfront views. An attentive staff helps ensures all details are attended to—from setting up state-of-the-art audio-visual enhancements to preparing special breaks and meals that take advantage of the tropical grounds and relaxing ambiance. Fuego, helmed by award-winning Executive Chef Jesse Perez, features a boldly colored dining room and views of the waterfront and downtown skyline. The restaurant serves Coastal Latin cuisine, specializing in mariscos (fresh seafood), and an extensive selection of antojitos (appetizers), tacos, tortas, and entrées made from both traditional and contemporary recipes. The bar serves premium tequilas—the largest selection in the region—that can be sampled at the tequila tasting bar along with handcrafted margaritas and other signature cocktails. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and on Sundays for its signature Fiesta Domingo Brunch that serves Baja-style seafood and savory barbeque, accompanied by live music and dancing. Hotel Maya offers a wealth of recreational opportunities that include a number of water features, including a full-size heated lap pool, hot tub, and a unique water canal that supports five private floating cabanas. The hotel also offers a wealth of recreational activities from a fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment, to bocce ball, as well as waterfront tennis, volleyball, and basketball courts..
